Where can I find VERY cheap Wedding dress?

I am on a VERY tight budget. Looking for wedding dress of under $300-$400. I've seen some online for like $200-$300 but how do I know if it's the right fit? Do I need to go to a bridal shop and try some on to get the sizing or what? I don't have any help from family as to money let alone of helping me find the perfect dress. I'm a plus size girl so I know that adds on money. Please help! I wouldn't mind ordering online but afraid of scammers. What are the steps in doing this? How would they get the right size? I see cheap dresses on david's bridal.com but they are online exclusive,

Bad thing is I am in the country. Big malls that would have something is like 90 miles away.... :(
AND Plus Size girl...in the 20's range.
I've heard alot of people say that light in the box is all a scam. It sounds too good to be true because these dresses are gorgeous.
