I emailed to outdress and after a few communication, I decided to order this 50's style wedding dress http://pinterest.com/pin/474003929500852926/ .Their customer service sent some real pictures to me in black, olive drab, white, ivory. I love the one in olive drab, but it seems I should dress in traditional color(white and ivory). What color should I order?
Answer
I have a couple cautions on the green one, but not because you "shouldn't" pick it. Brides are getting very creative these days when it comes to dress color!
The cautions are: First, do you have wedding colors picked out yet and would this work with them? It's particularly an issue with your wedding party. So just make sure that's thought through.
Also, when you say "real" pictures, do you mean hard copy photos? If so, fine. But if they're digital, you need to be careful about exact colors. The same digital photo can look like 3 different shades when viewed on 3 different monitor or phones.

Vintage Themed Wedding?
NoTurningB
My fiance and I are planning a vintage themed wedding. So we have decided to make black and white copies of family members photos (see my question I posted an hour ago) and incorporate them into the reception.
We are going to play all Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole type music during cocktail hour and dinner.
Any other ideas on how to decorate or add to the vintage theme?
Answer
A vintage or a retro theme is definitely unique in its own way, therefore a great idea to have it own your wedding. Here are some more ideas which I feel would add to the party theme.
A Polaroid Photo Guest book would be a great idea to have.
You can capture every moment of your wedding day with the Polaroid instant Pictures and hand written sentiments and expressions from your guests and these combined together in a guest book can become a memento filled with everlasting memories!!
To set the tone of the party, Wedding Invitations for the 30âs era of sophistication can be created with heavy, cream colored paper stock and deco-style fonts with a period clip art.
The Retro Dressing Wareâ¦how would that be?? For the 30âs look, a deco glamour idea would be a sleek and satiny dress found in the vintage dress shops or even at flee markets or thrift shops. They can also be custom made by using new or old vintage fabrics and these can also be easily found in e bay.
Nothing says retro like a tasty, frosting-topped cupcake. They're back in vogue as the height of food fashion. Delicious, colorful cupcakes can be served as the main wedding dessert attraction, substituted for the traditional wedding cake or in addition to a conventional wedding cake. Stack them like a skyscraper or arrange them in a circle to make a peace sign. Cupcakes can easily be decorated in day-glo icing colors for the1960s look or with silvery accents for a Deco finish.
Retro style wedding favors like love beads or peace sign jewelry or putting together a custom-made CD of classic rock tunes would be a great idea. For the 1930s wedding theme idea, linen handkerchiefs for both men and women would add a nice vintage touch. DVD copies of your favorite old comedy movie are sure to delight your guests - and the cover can feature you and your groom in place of Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn for a fun reminder of your own classic romance!
Lemme know if you like these ideas or whether they were of some help to you.
