How Do "Scene" Kids act/dress ect.?

Sk8rChick.

im wondering how "scene" kids act like dress like ect.?plz detail all! and what EXACTLY Are "Scene" Kids? Btw im a Girl. :) no hate comments plz.

Answer
'scene' kids act obnoxious, and call other people 'fake' when they are the ones being fake.

they are always trying to get attention by the way they talk by screaming obscenities, and using phrases like 'the sex' and 'kthxbai' as well as by the way they dress with their layered poofy hair with coontails down to their obnoxiously colored skinny jeans.

they usually wear a lot of make up to cover up their nasty faces and fill their ipods with horrible screamo music just because it's popular among the scenesters.

they can be found in hottopic stores around the world as well as concerts that are 'hard core'.

stupidest.
fad.
ever.

How do scene kids dress?

keiraMae.

I'm just wondering,
I saw this one girl, and she said she was scene but she didnt dress fully scene, so I'm just wondering,
Like, what kind of styles do you wear?
Show me some pictures of like Shirts and Pants.. or Skirts and Shizz.
:)

Answer
Scene kids usually have huge hair, wear alot of black, have over the top makeup and are often called 'emo'. Emo kids & Scene kids are very similar though. Mixing the two styles together is an option.Things Youâll Need:
Hairspray. Srsly dude. You'll need alot.
Black skinny jeans.
Chuck's. (converse all star high tops)
Alot of band t-shirts.
Black hoodie.
At least two black dresses.
Dull coloured, patterned dress.
Black hair dye. (not very necessary i think)
Alot of loose change to go to the city every weekend.
Colourful eyeshadow and eyeliner. [purple and blue are good]
BLACK EYELINER.
BLACK EYESHADOW.
necklaces, think colourful ones.
black low cut singlets/tshirts. [not too low cut!!]InstructionsDifficulty: Moderate

Step1Being a scene kid can become pretty costly. So save up! I suggest not to walk out of your house fully dressed as a scene kid in one day. Become one gradually.
I'll take you through being a more 'grundge' scene kid, and a more 'glamorous' scene kid.
Step2 The first thing you will need to do, is slip on your black skinny jeans! Next, put on a band tshirt, make sure it is not too baggy, if it is, tuck it into the side of your jeans. Black band t's are best.
Step3 Do your makeup a bit thicker then normal. No, a little more thicker then that, but please, do not make your self look like a racoon. Some scene kids do that, it just dosnt look that great.
Step4Now, for your shoes. The classic black high tops. Make sure they are dirty. Run outside and jump up and down in the dirt, scrape your shoes in the ground, anything to make them look at least a year old. Now to draw/write on them. I've scrawled my name on one of my shoes. Then down the sides i have some lyrics from a few songs.
Step5 Okay, for the more glamorous scene look.
Instead of wearing band tshirts, get out your black low cut singlets/tshirts. Throw a stylish necklace in, preferably a long one.
For the shoes, wear cute flats.
Step6 If you are wearing a dress, throw fish net stockings, or regular stockings on. If they are normal ones, make a few holes in them here and there.
Step7 Now, your haaaaaaaaair. Get you're cans of hairspray ready. With a 'teasing comb' tease your hair, so it is not flat. That is really the goal here. Make it big, but not as in 'afro' big. Stylish big. Then spray it alot so it stays.
Explaining to someone how to get scene hair is hard. You really have to figure it out yourself.
Step8Music plays a big part in being a scene kid.
I strongly suggest you introduce yourself to hardcore music. Develop a favourite hardcore band. Know the lyrics, band members names etc.
There is nothing worse then telling someone who your favourite band is, and they start talking about a specific band member in that band, but you dont know their names, and therefore stand there and nod without saying anything, pretending you know what they are on about. Also, you will be branded a 'fake scene kid'. Tough, but true.

If you just cant get into hardcore music, being a scene kid is not for you. I dont want you to dramatically change who you really are inside .

Which color white is most flattering to my skin tone? Asian-American.? Ivory, Diamond white, Champagne,orStark?

Kris

I don't/at least didn't like the idea of wearing white at my wedding.
'Cause I used to always imagine me/that I'm wearing a cream.
But now, after taking a What's You Wedding Dress IQ quiz, I realize that it might not be the most flattering on me.
U-/Argh!
The question i-/was Which color white is most flattering to a majority of skin tones?
Ivory
Diamond white
Champagne
Stark white
And the correct answer is: diamond white.
Diamond White: "Eighty percent of the population looks best in a soft, diamond-white dress, which isn't as chalky as a white-white," explains gown designer Melissa Sweet.
"When in doubt, buy diamond white."
A shade off true white, it's also known as silk or natural white and it usually shows up very white in photos.
Ivory: Also referred to as eggshell or candlelight, this shade has gentle yellow undertones (think creamy not buttery) and works well with fair skin tones or on gals with medium skin tones with pink undertones.
Champagne: Also called "rum," champagne has subtle pink undertones and works well with medium skin tones and yellow undertones.
Stark white: The brightest bridal gown white, this shade can wash out fair complexions, but it looks great on dark skin -- or those with a tan!
I can't tell if I have a fair skin tone or am a gal with medium skin tone with pink undertone! or medium skin tone and yellow undertone! or (even?) a tan!
Please help!...

Answer
Well, I can't say for sure without knowing what you look like, but you did mention being asian american in the question and asians tend to have more yellow or olive skin tones (that's not all-inclusive, but a generalization.) So the champagne would probably suit you. That being said... keep your options open and trust your own sense of style. You'll know when you've found the right dress for you, be it champagne or ivory or diamond white or anything in between. And most bridal shops have dozens of colors for everything in between and will be able to help you find your perfect dress. Best of luck and congratulations! :)

Wedding traditions/superstitions...?

Emmy

What are some...?
Plus, what's the one about not seeing each other the day of the wedding? Or is that the day before?

Answer
Your not suppose to see each other the day of the wedding supposedly it will bring the marriage bad luck.

Proposing and Engagement:

A woman should only propose to a man during a leap year, otherwise it endangers the marriage.

Engagement and wedding rings are worn on the fourth finger of the left hand because it was once thought that a vein in that finger led directly to the heart.

It is bad luck for the bride to remove her engagement ring before the day of her wedding.

It is unlucky for a woman to marry a man whose surname begins with the same letter as hers: To change the name and not the letter, Is to change for the worst and not the better.

The Bridal Shower:

The first gift the bride opens should be the first gift she uses.

The person who gives the third gift to be opened will soon have a baby.

The Wedding Day:

It brings more luck if the groom arrives at the church before the bride.

It's bad luck for the bride to start down the aisle on time but good luck to step into the church with her right food first.

Saying your vows when the hour hand on the clock is going upwards, makes you work together in your married life. If you say your wedding vows when the hand is going down, it is bad luck.

If the bride cries on her wedding day, those shall be the last tears she ever sheds over her marriage.

If the groom drops the wedding band during the ceremony, the marriage is doomed.

It is considered bad luck for the bride to see a pig, hare or lizard running across the road, an open grave or to meet a nun or monk on her wedding day.

Flower girls drop petals as they walk down the aisle is to ensure the new couple will have many chances to have children.

Carrying a horseshoe or a bouquet in the shape of one is considered lucky for the bride, but only if the horseshoe is carried with the open end up so the luck does not âfall outâ.

An old wives' tale is that if the younger of two sisters marries first, the older sister must dance barefoot at the wedding or risk never landing a husband.

Certain days are better than others for a wedding. The Victorians believed that it was lucky to marry on a day during the week that the groom was born. The luckiest day to marry was on the groomâs actual birthday. And, oddly enough, Saturday was the unluckiest day of all for a wedding!

You should have something old something borrowed, something new and something blue.

Something Old represents the link with the bride's family and the past.

Something New represents good fortune and success in the bride's new life.

Something Borrowed is to remind the bride that friends and family will be there for her when help is needed.

Something Blue is the symbol of faithfulness and loyalty.

Groom throwing the brides guarder which is said to bring the person who catches it good luck.

Bride throwing the bouquet which is said whom ever catches it will be the next to marry.

Time and place: Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth, Wednesday best of all, Thursday for losses, Friday for crosses, Saturday for no luck at all.

Wedding Attire:

The loan of a wedding dress means good luck to the borrower and bad luck for the lender.

A veil disguises the bride from evil spirits.

Dressing the bridesmaids is to fool the evil spirits, so they will not know who is the bride.

If the bride helps to make her own wedding dress, it will bring her bad luck. If she rips her wedding dress on the day, it means that the marriage will end in death.

It is considered good luck if the bride finds a spider in her wedding gown.

Wearing a pearl on the wedding day will bring bad luck and tears throughout the marriage.

The Wedding Cake:

The bride and groom cut the first slice of cake together to ensure that they will conceive.

The chief bridesmaid should keep a piece of cake in her pocket for the duration of the couple's honeymoon, if she hopes to marry soon.

Single female guests should take home a piece of wedding cake and place it under the pillow to dream of the man they will marry.

After the Wedding:

Throwing rice (or birdseed or confetti) as the couple leaves the church dates back to ancient times and is meant to bestow fertility on the couple.

The new bride must enter her home by the main door, and must not trip or fall, as it is a bad omen if the bride should stumble. Hence the custom of the groom carrying the bride over the threshold.

The spouse who goes to sleep first on the wedding day will be the first to die.

Wedding Gown Skirt? Where can I find one?

Taylor

Where can I find JUST a skirt for a wedding gown so that I can put my own top? I don't even know what to google! I was thinking a tulle skirt...or pleated. Thanks y'all. a BUNCH.

Answer
I saw some on the j crew website, otherwise i know that monique lhuillier has some bridal seperates as well, like in these, they are seperate skirts and bodices...

But as you can see from the first link, they are super expensive. If I were you, I would just go to Davids Bridal and buy an inexpensive wedding dress (under $1000) and have an experienced seamstress hack off the bodice and finish off the skirt with a waistband and zipper. Plus then that gives you a MUCH wider selection of skirt styles to choose from. Like here's a few possibilities...

is black a good pageant dress color?

Kayla

i'm competing in my high school pageant, and my friend informed me that black was a bad color to wear. is this true?

Answer
Not necessarily. Black is a hard color to pull off and it only looks good on people with very specific coloring (olive or tan skin with brown hair). If you aren't that I wouldn't reccomend wearing black. Also, black is also a pretty bad color in general as you can't really stand out onstage and it doesn't look good under lights. A really good website to find colors that look good on you is stylemakeovers.com and take the quiz. Hope I helped.
