I am a 36DD and I am having a terrible time finding a strapless low back bra to wear in my wedding dress. There are cups sewn into the top of the dress, but I wasn't sure if going bra less would look ok.

Answer
If you have cups sewn in and it feels supportive... Go for it!! I hear many brides have the cups sewn in and go bra less.

Being a halter, opposed to a tube, might help give you a "lift" too, so you don't hang low...

My friend had a tube top gown, no bra, and she didn't look bad, but she looked unsupported...

Try it on... See how it looks... Even take photos just to see what it will look like in photos...

How do I go about coordinating style of BM dress with the wedding gown?

Kalamity_K

I cant provide a link (the dress is a Mori Lee 2103). General guidelines to dresses complimenting each other is fine OTHER than matching formality which is obvious. Hem line types, neckline?

Answer
I love the top of your dress.

As for coordinating, I know there are general guidelines, such as same type of neckline, hem line etc just like you said. Also material.

But, I don't think you need to go by those. That's just my opinion.

For your dress if you want to coordinate, I would say same type of material and use halter style dresses. As for the rest, I'm really not sure. Since you have pickups on your skirt, you would probably want to use BM dresses with pickups as well if you want them to cooridinate. You can find them at David's Bridal and probably a few other places as well.

Good luck!

we are already had our civil wedding 3 1/2 yrs ago but are planning on our church wedding for august 2012. how much time do i need in advanced? a year? year and a half?
also i love the color teal (its like a blue greenish color) but i dont know if i should do
teal and white
or
teal and chocolate brown?
what do you think?

Answer
One year. One year is plenty of time to plan a vow renewal. In your case, start in August 2011. Vow renewals are usually much simpler than weddings. You may not even need an entire year.

Many vendors will not book more than a year in advance. Also, if a bride starts planning too early . . . well, her friends and family members may be thoroughly sick of her by the time the wedding (or vow renewal) rolls around, lol.

What to do in the meantime? Get ideas at the Knot.
http://www.theknot.com/
Check out the wedding checklist and budget calculator. They are on the left, under "planning tools."

But please remember that vow renewals are usually simple and elegant. They are not re-dos or do-over weddings. Many folks consider re-dos and do-overs inappropriate.

Invitations could read:
The honour of your presence
is requested at the reaffirmation
of the wedding vows of
NAMES
on DATE
YEAR
at TIME
LOCATION
ADDRESS

At all the vow renewals I have attended . . .
Each took place at the couple's place of worship, immediately following a regular worship service. They were brief ceremonies.

Each bride had only one attendant. Each groom had only one attendant.

Some brides dressed more formally than others, but none wore wedding gowns or veils.

The brides and their attendants either carried small bouquets or wore corsages. The grooms and their attendants wore dark suits and bouts.

All couples followed the brief ceremony with either a luncheon or a party in their own home.

May not be what you are envisioning, but re-dos are inappropriate.

I'm in a wedding next weekend and the dresses are cute but a pale yellow color. I have light tan skin, dark blonde hair and blue eyes. What color eyeshadow should I wear with a yellow dress? I'm thinking browns may go best but I'd like more input. Thanks!

Answer
Yes I think you are on the right track, I would do very natural eyes with a dash of golden glimmer dont forget to put the white highlight under the browbone, if you want something a little more dramatic do a brown smokey but still keep it bery subtle. it will really compliment this dress nicely, also just as an extra suggestion i would do a glossy pink lip, just keep your look fresh and summery.

What kind of dress should I wear for a ball?

Malkah Lev

i'm about 5/1 I am very curvy, I am a brunette with brown eyes and a slight wave to my hair with long bangs. I need a ball dress but what color should i wear? oh i am very light skinned! I LOVE green, black, white and blue. i'd love a modest dress that goes at least down to my knees or down to the floor? with sleeves or no? should i wear heels? i'm very short and my date is very tall! if so what kind? should i wear my hair up or down? its my first ball EVER and i only have brothers they are NO help! XD thanks!
Oh my hair goes to my shoulders.

Answer
You're gonna have to break a sweat for this! Go scour a department store and try on any and every dress you even sorta like. See what looks good on your body type! If the fit of one looks good, but the color of another, try finding something that's middle ground. As long as you feel beautiful and confident, you'll look awesome in it! I'm 5'3 and am slender, I stay far away from anything full at the bottom because I'll look like a cupcake. Also, try not to go below the knee cause your legs will look short.

As for hair, I absolutely love the simplicity and beauty of big glamorous curls. Depending on what dress you buy, you may want to do a sexy and sleek up do. Try and stay away from the cheesy overdone gem'ed out prom hairstyles!

Find shoes that are no higher than 4-5"!! This is a must! You do NOT want to be the girl holding her shoes at the end of the night. I despise kitten heels and think they look really cheap, so try and find something you can walk around in that isn't a stilletto.

Good luck and have fun!

What is the name of this Egyptian Arabic song?
It's kind of old, and the man is a bit old too. He is a very famous Egyptian singer. I think it was made from 60's onwards, but definitely before 2000's. There are a bunch of girls dressed in wedding dresses dancing around as well. It's a really famous song. Sorry for the crappy description.

What type of wedding dress would compliment a plus size figure?

DaniGirl

If the bride is a bigger woman, are there wedding dresses that will look better on her? Can you give me a few examples?

Thank you.

Answer
I looked at the sites one of the posters suggested. Here's my advice:

â Don't choose a strapless gown, or even one with thin straps. Choose one with a halter top or a built-up neckline, perhaps with sleeves.

â The fuller skirts look prettier than the more closely-cut ones.

â All the dresses look great on the models standing still, with ideal lighting. But as you move, bend, dance, etc. a covered-up style will look beautiful on you at all times. Personally I like the "Return to tradition" concept very much.

What kind of jewelery should I pair with my dress?

taaydc

My dress is a solid blue color, unfortunately I couldn't find a picture. Anyway, it's a pretty simple dress, but I have no idea what kind of stuff I should pair with it.
What kind of jewelery goes with a blue dress?
Regular straps, about knee length.

Answer
You should try a really big statement necklace - eg a chunky blue pendant, either glass or plastic, on a leather chain. Put this with a chunky bangle.

OR try simple jewellery - delicate necklace (small pendant, thin chain), small ring, small stud earings etc.

A wedding on a budget?

My fiance and I want to have a wedding on a budget... Although, it seems like having a "budget" wedding could be quite the task. I've done some research and found out that the average wedding is about $25,000 and is increasing about $2,000 each year! Wow! The only way we could afford a $25,000 wedding is if we charge everything... my fiance is the anti-charge man and is very frugal about what he charges... I would hate to have a wedding that would take us years to pay off. I've checked out some packages one of which seems to suit us and is about $13,000... it includes the ceremony, reception, food for up to 150 guests, and 14 rooms for a bed and breakfeast for 40 out of town guests. Being that most of our family is from the north and we are in the south it is VERY important to us that we accomadate out of town guests... this is a daunting challenge. I want to either supply the room OR airfare for our guests--both would just be overwhelming! $13,000 is a bit out of our league however it seems like the only package that suits our needs. Has anyone have a wedding on a budget? About what was the budget you were working with and what did you do to make it work!? I've heard of people having fantastic weddings for about $5,000 although I don't know HOW that is even possible. One thing is that I absolutely want to have a nice meal at our reception... not just appetizers. The meals do not have to be extravagant but I feel if we have guests coming from 1,000 miles away that we should provide a substainal meal... and the meals seem to be the most expensive part of our wedding!!! If anyone has worked a wedding on a budget, I'd love to hear suggestions and get ideas of what a reasonable "budget" is... Thanks :)

Answer
I am getting married by the end of this year if all goes well. My biggest tip is don't go with any "wedding vendor" and to hopefully have friends/family that love you enough to offer their services!
Our projected budget was less than $5000, no, actually more like less than $3000 if we can. We expect about 250 guests.

Here is a brief summary:
- DJ...free!
(My friend who is a DJ is gifting me his services.)

- Cake...free! And $14
(A relative who bakes is gifting it to me. That will be the main cake. Since me and a few of my relatives have celiac I also need gluten free, so I will pick up a smaller GF chocolate "supposedly grooms but really brides" cake that will be next to the big one on a stand my guy's making me.)

- Venue...less than $600
(The ballroom of a local university. I live in a big city so this location is in a suburb about 20 minutes away. Also my uncle got me a "connection" who reserved it for us at a discount since she is an employee of the school. Even without the discount, the place is about $1000, and it is not listed as a wedding venue anywhere, although it is certainly elegant enough. Also, no required caterer!)

- Food...catering by Jason's Deli, less than $8.00/person
(Our biggest "splurge" but we made it work. Not only is Jason's fresh/healthy/organic and have GF options for me and my family members!!! But they are affordable and you don't have to book them months in advance. Even if we choose a hot meal, we found that instead of serving the meal on a 12" restaurant size 1" deep plate, which no one finishes anyway, we'd serve it on 8" flat plates and can get 3 meals out of 2 restaurant portions! Jason's will do this if you ask because they usually have to plate your meal anyway.)

-My wedding gown...free!
(My mom is gifting me my dress, since she gifted my sister hers when she got married. Her limit was up to $500, so anything above that I'd have to pay and anything below she'll give me the difference for my wedding. I scoured all the bridal salons and online preowned sites and found nothing to my liking and my price range, so she offered to sew my dress for me, since she's made my clothes/dresses since I was little. We even checked discontinued gowns and clearance gowns and although those were gorgous and more affordable I am just too picky for my body. Guess I'm too used to things being made for my body, and also my mom taught me very well how a good dress is made and not many that I saw made the cut. I found my dream dress by Enzoani with some "redesigning" to my tastes and comfort and we both really love it. My mom helped me find a pattern of a veil I like and will help me make it. My sister makes beaded jewelry { tuilpsfortutti.etsy.com } and she offered to gift me any beads for my gown as well as any beads for my jewelry which she will custom make to my tastes and liking; she really wants me to splurge and pick Swarovski crystals.)

- Decorations for 30 tables...handmade, price unknown but so far less than $200
(My friend just got married and is lending me the vases she used. In this case Marthastewartweddings.com is my best friend, as well as the DIY archives at oncewed.com. Most everything will be hand-made and I was leaning towards tissue paper flower centerpieces and small LED candles since we can't have open flames at our venue. Me and my sister are very handy, but I am lucky enough to have great friends who offered me their help too.)

-Photography...to be determined
(We plan on hiring two photography majors from UT based on recommendations from their professors. It can count as credit for them, we'll write their professor a review, they can use our images in their portfolio but we get to keep everything they shoot since it will be digital and as college students they can earn some cash.)

-Extras
I went to BigLots and dollar stores and found a whole stash of loot. LED tea lights for one quarter what they cost online. Also a whole stash of really great Martha Stewart Weddings stuff; I had seen it the week before on clearance at Walmart and went there and it was even cheaper than Walmart. We got a big scrapbook that we're going to use for our guestbook for $2.00. It is eyelet print and I just have to add a bit more decoration to jazz it up a bit.
The only splurge I really want is to have real flowers just on the bouquets - 1 bridal, 4 BM, 1 Jr Bm, and maybe something for my 2 flower children. My friend found me a source who can get me honest pricing for that so depending on how our finances are I might splurge and get a few real flowers and mix them in among the tissue paper ones.
Favors I still haven't decided. There are some great online craft sites and my best friend is the weekly Hobby Lobby online coupon, sometimes up to 40%. So if I have to print out multiples of those and go to the two Hobby Lobbys nearby everyday with as many people as I can bring with me that week just to buy one things at time I will!
Our colors are clover and lilac and we want a nature-y theme with a vintage vibe so we will see.
Pretty much just think outside the box; you don't need everything magazines and websites tell you you need.
Aside from gifted items, no one is helping us pay for anything. His family is being especially stingy and the sum they did offer a few months back they have since taken back, claiming they don't have any money.
So I do see this wedding as a challenge, a money challenge where we hopefully triumph.

Why the same dress has such different prices?

Jennifer

I want to choose this elegant wedding dres as I will marry the man I love deeply in my life next year.

Answer
silky organza is likely made from polyester or a blend of polyester and rayon.

Silk organza is the real deal - made from silk, which is a fibre produced by silk worms.

Hence the difference in price.

It's a one day celebration - go for the less expensive dress and spend the money you saved on the wedding gift for your groom. It's not about the wedding, it's about the marriage, but I suspect you know that already.

It's seasonal but normally one year they keep it- and sometimes for 2 or 3 if it's really popular. My friend said my bridesmaids dresses were still there because brown is still really popular.
I personally won't wait until they get discounted- then you'll have sizing issues and you can't order them. Plus that dress is a good price- I just paid $280 for the last wedding I was in.

I'm getting married April 2013...my fiancé will be wearing black dress shorts, white long sleeved button up with a pink tie. I'm going to wear a white dress of some sort. My mother is saying that our wedding will look stupid & now I'm afraid she'll be right. My fiancé & I are not the dress up type. I want us to look good but also be comfortable. Any suggestions?

Answer
I think the shorts with a long sleeve shirt & tie are going to be a bit weird. Why not have him wear khaki pants with a pink shirt? (I'm assuming pink is one of your wedding colors). That would keep him casual looking, but still dressy enough to be ID'd as the groom.

Then you could wear a more casual styled wedding dress.
David's Bridal has an adorable print wedding dress you might want to check out: http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_T3267-T3267_Bridal-Gowns-Shop-By-Style-Destination
Otherwise, you could keep it casual with a short dress: http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Short-Printed-Organza-Gown-with-Floral-Sash-WG3313_Bridal-Gowns-Shop-By-Silhouette-Short
Or just a simple designed white dress:

What should i wear to a valentines dance?

Princessa

i need help with every single detail. meaning outfit from head to toe. including hairstyle accessories shoes and even nail polish color!

Answer
Ok. So I would totally wear either a bright pink dress or a red one (short/mid-length). You could use a black belt to accentuate the waist. Black heels. Peep toes are cute. If you're not into the black then just forget about it and wear silver jewelry. Maybe a heart necklace and a bracelet with a heart charm and I know Wal-Mart or just about any store would have little heart clips for your hair. Even a headband. I would wear my hair down with beach waves (since it's a little chilly) with silver (or black) nail polish. Nice big silver heart earrings or even hoops. Haha Hope I helped!! (:

PS: Smokey eye shadow (with black accessories) or play in silver eye shadow with just the pink or red. Either will work (:

When I originally pictured my wedding I pictured an elegant but understated fitted lace dress. I found some I love but nothing was right and then I tried on this dress....
http://www.martinaliana.com/#/collection0910/260

It has a detachable skirt so it becomes a sweet little cocktail dress for the reception. I fell in love with it. But I'm very conflicted. This almost seems like a dress you'd wear to a big elegant wedding in a cathedral or something. Everything we're doing is very fun and casual. The men are wearing tan suits. The girls are wearing sky blue dresses with chocolate sashes and crop sweaters to match.

I know it's my wedding and I should stand out but I don't want to be too flashy. I'm also worried about wearing a big skirted dress outdoors.

Any opinions/advice?

Prom dress help please? I choose best answer.?

lexi1892ix

Ok so without price really being much of a hindrance I need a prom dress.

Not just any prom dress though.

I would like a dress that I can go to prom in and pose for pictures in looking glamorous and like a beautiful princess but that later I can be able to dance in via a detachable skirt.
I want it to be a floor length ball/evening gown and don't want it to be obvious that it comes off. When it comes off I want it to come off to reveal a short mini dress that I can wear for dancing and partying it up at prom with my girls and my date of course.

Please help.
I choose best answer!

Answer
I would just get one custom made. Just go to either a seamstress or a wedding dress store. They do prom dresses there because they are the same as bridesmaid dresses, and they will know how to help you.

What type of wedding dress will look okay with cowboy boots?

Im getting married soon and having an outside wedding. It will be more southern and country and I want to wear cowboy boots. My only issue is what kind of dress will look okay with cowboy boots. I can't seem to find any that show off the boots well. If you can find any pictures of a "hi-to-low" cut wedding dress with boots on it would be greatly appreciated! Any other ideas/color schemes/pictures are open as well. Thank YOU!! :)

Answer
I think you should ask first:

What type of COWBOY BOOTS will look good with a wedding dress.

I think you should go out and buy yourself a beautiful white pair of cowboy boots with golden trims. The hi-lo dress idea is a very good one! You could also opt for a just-below-the-knee, pinched in the waist and really nice and wide at the hem (kinda 50's vibe). You should go with lots of lace for sure!!

How did the theme of a white wedding dress originate?

ME

I mean - I know in the older days they didnt have the wedding dresses of today. How did it come that we started using long white wedding dresses?

Answer
It has nothing to do with the traditional color of purity or virginity. It's actually quite modern. The traditional color of wedding dress that denoted purity was ultramarine blue, the traditional color of the virgin Mary's robes in church icons. Around the 1600's wedding dresses were any color, but they were the fanciest dress a woman owned and the dress was often used for other formal occasions. In the early history of the US yellow was the favourite color of wedding dresses. it symbolized happiness and sunshine because a wedding day was a happy occasion. White wedding dresses first appeared after young Queen Victoria broke with tradition got married in a white dress elaborately trimmed with white laces from the different counties of England. After that all brides wanted to copy the queen and white wedding dresses became more and more popular. As late as the first decade of the 20th century wedding dresses were available in an array of blues, yellows, purples (Another royal color) and white. By the 1920's white had become the most common color. The idea that white symbolizes purity is barely 50 years old.

It also depended on where you lived, in many places white for a wedding is considered bad luck, and in Scandinavian countries black was the preferred color. In some places red was preferred, and as mentioned in the US yellow was the color of choice.

Here are a few facts that counter the myths: http://www.snopes.com/weddings/customs/dress.asp

I am very particular about modesty, and have not been able to find any gows that are pretty and yet have high necklines. i would prefer that the gown have sleeves, a full skirt and a train, and that the neckline be no lower than an inch or two below the collarbone. where can i find one that meets my standards? are there any websites or stores that would carry gowns like this?

Why is it considered wrong to have a vow renewal ceremony that is like a wedding?

Renee

I've been reading comments on here that say if you are planning a vow renewal it should not look like a traditional wedding (wedding gown, attendants, wedding cake etc) and I am curious about something. Having this type of ceremony when you are already married and have been for say 20 years = tacky. People who are on their 2nd, 3rd or 4th marriage having a big traditional wedding = it's your day you should do what makes you happy. It seems to me that someone who has actually stayed together for 20 years but never had the chance to wear the gown or cut the cake shouldn't be looked on too unkindly for wanting that experience just once in their life. Some have said you do not get a do over for a wedding, but isn't that what 2nd, 3rd, 4th weddings are essentially?

Also, to clarify, I am not planning a vow renewal. I am merely curious after reading some of the more strongly worded answers to questions about this subject.
I am not planning to have a vow renewal. I am curious as to what people think. However, if the couple didn't have a reception or receive any gifts when they got married, and are doing this as an anniversary celebration do they need to specifically say "no gifts" or would not having a shower or not registering for gifts be enough? I think most people would probably agree having a shower and registering would be tacky, but what about leaving it open for the guests to decide if they want to give an anniversary gift?

Just more questions that came to me after posting this as I am not planning to have a vow renewal for myself.
I actually meant "do over" as applied to marriage in general. You vow to love, honor and cherish til death do you part then "oops that didn't work out let me have a "do over" with someone else who I will also vow to love, honor and cherish til death do you part and see if it sticks this time. Some do this over and over many times.

Answer
Cantake has hit the nail on the head. People see the repeat vows as yet another opportunity to ask for gifts.
And the potential for the event to come off as tacky is high.

I use the wife from "19 kids and counting" as an example. They had the right idea, go to church, have the kids as witnesses. But she went to the wedding store and bought a full length white dress, which the store had to alter and add sleeves for modesty, and she wore a veil. She looked poured into that dress. Trying to look 16 again by tricking yourself out as a virginal bride does not work. It looks pitiful. She had the full wedding, why do another? -

I like how my friend's church handles the idea. The couple goes to regular church service, and at the end of it, stands up at the alter for the renewal. They attend the after church coffee which is there every Sunday. So no white gowns, no veils, no trawling for gifts, no presents.

It is a tradition to renew vows at the 20th or 25th anniversary, or later. People here want a "do-over" the next year, because, poor babies, they did not get the full wedding experience the year before. This is what makes guests angry, they gave a nice present last year, and now are expected to give a nicer one. Rude, crude, tacky.

and Rivers feels the same about multiple weddings. It is so tacky to pour an aging body into a white gown, so tacky to keep asking for gifts. In years gone by, people had their second, third, fourth weddings privately, in front of a few friends and family.

Does anyone know where I can find a nice (but cheap) cheongsam in the Orange County/Southern Los Angeles area?

midnight

Hello all. I'm trying to find a nice cheongsam (Chinese formal dress) for a Chinese wedding reception happening in mid-September. I am specifically looking for a full length one that is hopefully under $100. And it would need to be an actual store in the Orange County or Southern Los Angeles County area, because I have found that I do not fit into all gowns, and the few stores I went to were one-size-fits-all. Thanks!

Answer
I think you are a lady :) Because cheongsam can also refer to man's dress. You may want to look for Qipao (æè¢) instead. The best one is next to my home. é¦ç¶æè¢æ´æ tailor make them for you.

Bride-2-Be

I would be thrilled if people said: "wow, that was different but so beautiful! I never saw anything like that before" But they probably won't cause I am having a traditional wedding! hahah but I am toying around with doing something funky---like wearing a blush colored wedding dress...Maybe they can say it about my dress.

My friend wants everyone to love the food at her upcoming wedding.

Answer
Like I've been telling my mom since I got engaged, "I want my wedding to have the OMG factor!" :)

I'm having a pretty traditional wedding as well, but we're tweaking a few things to make it pop.

For example, instead of the simple white invitations, ours have a black background with a yellow design and white lettering for our colors. I want out guests to open the invite and say "OMG! That's cool!".

Another example, instead of the strapless dress that's so popluar nowadays, I opted for a strapped v-neck with awesome beading and an illusion back (http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplayView?storeId=10052&catalogId=10051&categoryId=-49995498&currentIdx=39&subCategory=-49999486%7c-49995498&catentryId=6097088&sort= this one without the modesty piece; it's removable so I just cut it out all together).

My bridesmaids are wearing all black dresses, carrying yellow flowers, and wearing rhinestone jewelry. They're getting their hair and make up done how they want and wearing the shoes they want as long as they're black (my cousin is wearing a killer pair of black snake skin stillettos!)

The reception is going to be a big party after all of the formalities like cake cutting and all that. My FH and I are dancing to "When I Look Into Your Eyes" by Firehouse. We love 80's hair bands :). The tables are going to have white tablecloths with black overlays, chair covers are white with black bows, and the centerpieces are going to be yellow roses surrounded by candles in yellow holders. And not only are we just having a band, we're having my dad's band play and then my dad and FH's dad are going to jam (my dad on keyboard, his dad on guitar). After the band is done, we're cranking up my iPod and the bridesmaids and I are doing the Cupid Shuffle :)

I want people to leave my wedding thinking "That was the most awesome wedding ever!", not just "Well, that was nice".

what lip and blush color should i use if i have a glittery royal blue eye makeup?

Sarah

Yea for prom, my prom dress is royal blue with silver beading so I have matching eyes but what lip and blush color should I use?

Answer
for the lips i would go for a complete nude.. if u decide tht u dont look good in a total nude becuz it washes u out then a pinky nude or a peachy nude is great.. some of my favorite r ysl rouge volupte #1 nude beige
mac hue
mac myth
mac creme d nude
those r some high end ones and for drugstore
revlon lip butter creme brule
any lipstick tht is nude
thts all i can think of
BUT u could also go for a red if u wanna be bold
high end ones r
mac russian red
mac rebel
drugstore ones r
revlon lip butter red velvet and candy apple
also wet n wild has a great glossy lipstick in a silver packaging tht is red LOVE IT
and finally for cheeks if u want a pinky nude lip then go for a light pink blush
mac well dressed or
covergirl clasic pink
peachy nude lips or complete nude go for a light peach or a coral shade
mac peachykeen
wet n wild pearlescent pink
and for a red lip go for a nude colored blush or a veeerrryyy light colored blush definatley nothing too dark
tarte exposed blush is known for having tht perfect amount of color when u hav bold lips

Im having my 15th year old party at a hotel and i need some ideas on activities to do wit my bestfriends.

Answer
good day,
call local beauty schools, some offer major discounts on pedicures and nails treatments,
and they will travel to your hotel...these are students that are ready to grad...think health foods like fruits and veggies and natural beauty products..give each girl her own basket of goodies- play model...go to a local thrift or resale shop and ask to "rent" some wild things (things you would never wear-minks-old wedding gowns- boas etc)and have everyone model and pose in differant outfits..and take photos..take turns doing everyone hair..this would be fun...party hardy

What would be a good starting asking price for a vintage Alfred Angelo wedding dress?

A nobody f

It's been worn twice, and was professionally cleaned and packed in 1992. I wish I had a pic scanned, or could remember the style name. It has a long scalloped edge train, lace chest area, scalloped choker neckline, 3/4 length sleeves that continue to the wrist in lace.
I was thinking it wouldn't be worth the effort of selling it, might just donate it.

Answer
Gowns, even vintage ones, do not appreciate in value. (and 1992 is not exactly vintage.) So you could probably get what it was worth originally if it is in excellent condition but you won't get more than that. I agree you should research prices of gowns from that year resale and see what they are selling for. Places like Ebay, Craigslist and also online resale shops is where I would look!

Good luck!
