You need to change the color of some of these, look to the left and you will see tons of color swatches that you can click on to see the dress in different colors. If you like one of these you might want to show the other bridesmaids, because there are tons to choose from and that way the color would be the same color of yellow.

Only one color is mentioned for the wedding color - royal blue. Since the mother of the bride, brides maids, and grandmothers will be wearing royal blue, I feel like this would be too much blue. Can I wear another color?

Answer
that is too much blue. but you should ask the bride. she has the final word. I think a nice dark silver would look nice, or maybe lavender or sage green. the mothers usually wear something muted, not the same color as the bridesmaids! as for length, nothing above the knee. go find a few dresses you like and then show the bride. then you can return the ones she doesn't like.

Gaaah.

Imagine classic wedding dress colours...stark white, diamond white, ivory, champagne etc..

What would look nicest on very fair skin with a small amount of yellow undertone? It's pretty much just fair, but if you had to pick and undertone it would be yellowy- olive. But I still have pink cheeks and all.. sorta confusing. :))

Thanks! :)

Answer
I'm the pink pale sort, and my brother is the yellow pale sort. We're both really pale, especially me.

Stay away from stark white. It always makes me look bad and generally looks awful in pictures. I find cream colors look amazing on me and really complement my skin tone and hair (I'm a strawberry-blond/red-head/gold?.... I know that's not a conventional hair color, but it didn't come out of a bottle so I don't know what to call it. :/ ) I think cream colors would look best on any pale person, no matter what hair color you have.

I hope that helps!

What lip / eye color should I wear with a bright red evening dress?

alinka

I am going to a wedding and will be wearing a formal bright red dress. I cannot decide what type of makeup to do - color and drama-wise. I will be wearing my hair up, and it is dark blond. I have gray/blue eyes and naturally pale skin (although I will be getting an airbrush tan). Thanks, everyone!

Answer
I would try doing a taupe-y smokey eye and a pinky-nude lip.
Not too dramatic--you don't want your make-up to compete with the strong color of your dress. Try something like this:

:] Good luck!

What color of tux to go with knee length wedding dress?

wedding dresses color blue
on CUP OF JO: Do or Don't: Colorful wedding dresses
wedding dresses color blue image

Puddin Pop

My wedding dress is ivory colored and my colors are pool (light blue) and soft yellow, like an canary. I was thinking it would look nice for my fiance to wear a ivory colored tux with a pool colored vest and tie, with possible no vest at all. The wedding is this summer outside. So Im not sure if the best would be ivory tux with pool tie, (matches bridesmaids), or go with the simple and casual black tux. Thanks!

Answer
Tuxedos are evening wear--no good for day weddings. "Matching" is also a bad idea. Men's formalwear is based on subdued elegance, not bright matching colors.

Unless you want to get into day formalwear:
http://www.blacktieguide.com/Supplemental/Morning_Dress.htm

suits are your best bet. Seersucker is always a good bet for summer:
http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=419&Product_Code=188K&Parent_Id=216&CMP=KNC-WC0165751557
http://www.josbank.com/JAB_Partner.process?Section_Id=1000&Product_Id=446587&p_Id=3&link_Id=2&CAWELAID=323725860

and a tailor can make a bought suit fit infinitely better than a rental. Tie color is up to you, but try to coordinate instead of matching.

Some advice if you do decide to design your own is just find a picture of a dress where you like just the top part, one where you just like the back part, one where you just like the bottom. Take the pictures to the dress maker and point out all the details you like and they can use them all to make your unique dress.

What dress would look ok on a plus size person?

My best friend is a plus size (size 28-- 3xl) and she is standing up in my wedding as my maid of honor. What kind of dress would look great on her and not make her feel self-conscious?
Lol JoJo-- even if you were a guy it would have been a fine answer :)

Answer
I'm plus size (although I'm a size 14) but I think the biggest thing is something to cover the arms a bit. Not like granny sleeves if everyone else is going to be strapless or something but just like a cap sleeve or something like that. Also, empire waist dresses are what look best on me...and if she's anything like me in the chest area, make sure it's something that she isn't going to worry about her boobs popping out all day long.

My step-sister just got married and I was a bridesmaid and she let us all pick out our dresses given that it was the right color (black for her wedding)...that gave us three girls an opportunity to wear something that suited each of our different bodies. If that's not something you want, why not ask for her help for picking out the dresses so you can get her input on what would look good on her?

What type of wedding gowns look best on a plus sized bride?

CaitMarae5

I have just started looking at wedding dresses but I dont know what would look good on me. I am 5'7 and a size 24. Does anyone know what style dresses would flatter my body? Thanks!

Answer
When I got married, I was your size, just two inches taller.
I really wasn't sure, either, what would look good til I started trying dresses on. I was hoping to find a very traditional gown, and I really lucked out. Sorry, I don't have a pic or link - but the BEST thing to look out for was a gown with a basque waist - it's extremely flattering (and comfortable) because it is an a-line style, and the fabric just flows over the tummy and hips, hiding things as much as it can! My weight was in my belly, not butt or boobs... (lol) apple. rather than pear-shaped.
Even though I got married in summer, my gown was long sleeved, scoop neck, cathedral train - of heavy bridal satin. It just gave me a lovely silhouette. Wearing a fingertip veil and small tiara worn right in front of the veil kind of just completed the look.
(yes, I know I'm not Avril - and my hair was short)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/super69blonde/avril-lavigne-wedding.jpg

I found the trick was to go fairly classic in style - not too much pouf, but more towards 'flowing'. Don't go strapless - have some sort of sleeve, or straps - it makes the line of your body 'taller' and not dumpy.
Here's an example of some dresses with a basque waist -

Lots of choices on this site -
http://www.formalsource.com/AURORA%20DPARADISO/ADP_SPR%2006/6837/6837FL.html

Just try lots of different styles on - don't judge a dress on a hanger - try it! Plus, if the choices I've suggested are too formal for what you want, there are tons of informal dresses for plus beautiful women, too!
Happy shopping, and good luck!
*Sorry, know this is already long, but something to add. When I found the gown I wanted, it 'just' zipped up. It was at a small bridal shop, and the very amazing seamstress inserted long vee-shaped inserts under each arm to let out the dress a bit up top. I say amazing because you could barely see a seam where she put in the extra fabric - and it cost about $80 to get this done (gown was close to $800).

Don't get color. It can look childish. I'm guessing its for prom and I think if you get a french tip:

How do you get your nails done?

I don't want acrylic, I could never get used to it.

But my mom is talking about getting tips, and when I asked her what that was, she described to me the acrylic process.

So either I'm confused or she's explaining this wrong.

How do you get your nails done without acrylic?

And what color would you get, the label says the dress is pine green, but I like to say it's emerald. It's a deep green dress. What color would you get?

Answer
If you are getting your nails done without acrylic, it would be a basic manicure. The manicurist would moisturize your hands and nails and cuticles, sometimes this step also involves a hand and forearm massage. Your cuticles would be trimmed if need be, and your nails would be shaped, filed smooth, and possibly buffed. They would finish off your manicure with a base coat, 2 coats of nail polish of the color of your choice, and a long lasting top coat. If I had a dark green dress, or even brighter emerald, I would choose a contrasting color, like a sheer light pink, which would even look slightly like a french manicure. A sheer light shade will also show chips less and last longer.

What is Disney's store dress code/uniform for employees?

vamplover4

I'm not all sure about working here (disney's stores at the mall) even though I love Disney. I don't know what their dress code is, and I have like 3 different hair colors right now, and 3 piercings in each ear, would that be an issue?
If you can post links to pictures I'd really appreciate it.

Answer
There is a very strict dress code at Disney stores. You do have to wear a uniform. You cannot have visible tattoos or piercing (besides basic ear piercings.) Men cannot have excessive facial hair. Certain nail & hair colors are restricted. Nails have to be trimmed to a certain length. Any jewelry that you wear has to be subdued, and not overwhelming in the least. I've actually found this to be the case at many stores. When I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch we had the same restrictions.

I've been hearing about a wedding dress color code... such as for if youre a virgin or not. What is this code? I know it isn't used anymore, I'm just wondering.

Answer
Ugh. Sorry - this is one of my biggest pet peeves.

White was never used in Western Weddings (Europe & America) to symbolize purity.

White, in fact, was never worn for a wedding dress until Queen Victoria wore a white dress to her wedding. It was hugely scandalous, because it was viewed as incredibly wasteful because the dress would undoubtably have been ruined in its first use. (Cities were absolutely filthy in the 1800s, between coal soot everywhere, plus horse manure and chamber pot contents littering the street.) After the Queen wore white, it became the fashion among the aristocracy (noble class) to wear white as a symbol of great wealth.

Aristocratic debutants wore pastel colors for their Seasons, when they were introduced to eligible males. Their dresses had to be adaptable, so they never appeared to wear the same dress twice (which would have called into question the finances of the girl's family). For their wedding, the girls would be married in richer colors, again proving that the family had money - because they could afford a brand new dress.

Peasants and farmers were married in their Sunday best, which was never white, because they couldn't afford to be wasteful like that.

A wedding on a budget?

ashley

My fiance and I want to have a wedding on a budget... Although, it seems like having a "budget" wedding could be quite the task. I've done some research and found out that the average wedding is about $25,000 and is increasing about $2,000 each year! Wow! The only way we could afford a $25,000 wedding is if we charge everything... my fiance is the anti-charge man and is very frugal about what he charges... I would hate to have a wedding that would take us years to pay off. I've checked out some packages one of which seems to suit us and is about $13,000... it includes the ceremony, reception, food for up to 150 guests, and 14 rooms for a bed and breakfeast for 40 out of town guests. Being that most of our family is from the north and we are in the south it is VERY important to us that we accomadate out of town guests... this is a daunting challenge. I want to either supply the room OR airfare for our guests--both would just be overwhelming! $13,000 is a bit out of our league however it seems like the only package that suits our needs. Has anyone have a wedding on a budget? About what was the budget you were working with and what did you do to make it work!? I've heard of people having fantastic weddings for about $5,000 although I don't know HOW that is even possible. One thing is that I absolutely want to have a nice meal at our reception... not just appetizers. The meals do not have to be extravagant but I feel if we have guests coming from 1,000 miles away that we should provide a substainal meal... and the meals seem to be the most expensive part of our wedding!!! If anyone has worked a wedding on a budget, I'd love to hear suggestions and get ideas of what a reasonable "budget" is... Thanks :)

Answer
I am getting married by the end of this year if all goes well. My biggest tip is don't go with any "wedding vendor" and to hopefully have friends/family that love you enough to offer their services!
Our projected budget was less than $5000, no, actually more like less than $3000 if we can. We expect about 250 guests.

Here is a brief summary:
- DJ...free!
(My friend who is a DJ is gifting me his services.)

- Cake...free! And $14
(A relative who bakes is gifting it to me. That will be the main cake. Since me and a few of my relatives have celiac I also need gluten free, so I will pick up a smaller GF chocolate "supposedly grooms but really brides" cake that will be next to the big one on a stand my guy's making me.)

- Venue...less than $600
(The ballroom of a local university. I live in a big city so this location is in a suburb about 20 minutes away. Also my uncle got me a "connection" who reserved it for us at a discount since she is an employee of the school. Even without the discount, the place is about $1000, and it is not listed as a wedding venue anywhere, although it is certainly elegant enough. Also, no required caterer!)

- Food...catering by Jason's Deli, less than $8.00/person
(Our biggest "splurge" but we made it work. Not only is Jason's fresh/healthy/organic and have GF options for me and my family members!!! But they are affordable and you don't have to book them months in advance. Even if we choose a hot meal, we found that instead of serving the meal on a 12" restaurant size 1" deep plate, which no one finishes anyway, we'd serve it on 8" flat plates and can get 3 meals out of 2 restaurant portions! Jason's will do this if you ask because they usually have to plate your meal anyway.)

-My wedding gown...free!
(My mom is gifting me my dress, since she gifted my sister hers when she got married. Her limit was up to $500, so anything above that I'd have to pay and anything below she'll give me the difference for my wedding. I scoured all the bridal salons and online preowned sites and found nothing to my liking and my price range, so she offered to sew my dress for me, since she's made my clothes/dresses since I was little. We even checked discontinued gowns and clearance gowns and although those were gorgous and more affordable I am just too picky for my body. Guess I'm too used to things being made for my body, and also my mom taught me very well how a good dress is made and not many that I saw made the cut. I found my dream dress by Enzoani with some "redesigning" to my tastes and comfort and we both really love it. My mom helped me find a pattern of a veil I like and will help me make it. My sister makes beaded jewelry { tuilpsfortutti.etsy.com } and she offered to gift me any beads for my gown as well as any beads for my jewelry which she will custom make to my tastes and liking; she really wants me to splurge and pick Swarovski crystals.)

- Decorations for 30 tables...handmade, price unknown but so far less than $200
(My friend just got married and is lending me the vases she used. In this case Marthastewartweddings.com is my best friend, as well as the DIY archives at oncewed.com. Most everything will be hand-made and I was leaning towards tissue paper flower centerpieces and small LED candles since we can't have open flames at our venue. Me and my sister are very handy, but I am lucky enough to have great friends who offered me their help too.)

-Photography...to be determined
(We plan on hiring two photography majors from UT based on recommendations from their professors. It can count as credit for them, we'll write their professor a review, they can use our images in their portfolio but we get to keep everything they shoot since it will be digital and as college students they can earn some cash.)

-Extras
I went to BigLots and dollar stores and found a whole stash of loot. LED tea lights for one quarter what they cost online. Also a whole stash of really great Martha Stewart Weddings stuff; I had seen it the week before on clearance at Walmart and went there and it was even cheaper than Walmart. We got a big scrapbook that we're going to use for our guestbook for $2.00. It is eyelet print and I just have to add a bit more decoration to jazz it up a bit.
The only splurge I really want is to have real flowers just on the bouquets - 1 bridal, 4 BM, 1 Jr Bm, and maybe something for my 2 flower children. My friend found me a source who can get me honest pricing for that so depending on how our finances are I might splurge and get a few real flowers and mix them in among the tissue paper ones.
Favors I still haven't decided. There are some great online craft sites and my best friend is the weekly Hobby Lobby online coupon, sometimes up to 40%. So if I have to print out multiples of those and go to the two Hobby Lobbys nearby everyday with as many people as I can bring with me that week just to buy one things at time I will!
Our colors are clover and lilac and we want a nature-y theme with a vintage vibe so we will see.
Pretty much just think outside the box; you don't need everything magazines and websites tell you you need.
Aside from gifted items, no one is helping us pay for anything. His family is being especially stingy and the sum they did offer a few months back they have since taken back, claiming they don't have any money.
So I do see this wedding as a challenge, a money challenge where we hopefully triumph.

What colour clothes should I wear with RED HAIR?

dress color for red hair image

MissAussie

I have recently dyed my hair red from darkest brown and found alot of my clothes don't suit anymore :/ what are colours to avoid with red hair and what colors will compliment it? Looking for shirts and dresses mainly. Thankyou.

Answer
Colors to AVOID with red hair are red or reddish-pink tops, as they blend with your hair and look weird. Plum and dark colors need to be avoided as much as possible, too. ESPECIALLY GREEN AND YELLOW! With green, you'll look like an akward Christmas ornament, and with yellow, you'll look like Ronald Mc Donald. GOOD colors to go with your new hair, are pale, pearl, salmon, etc. (Basically, dainty, light shades of pink), baby, sky, and very light shades of blue. Violet or very, very pale shades of purple would look nice as accesories. And if you want to wear jeans, washed, distressed jeans will be a good choice.
BTW, I admire that you dyed your hair a unique color. I love people who aren't afraid to express their individuality.

What's your opinion about David's Bridal?

superaweso

I'm a super frugalista and I thought that David's Bridal would be my one stop shop for a nice dress at a cheap price. But I have only heard bad things about the quality of the dresses and the service. So I wanted to know what your experience was if you have ever been there.

Answer
My mom's best friend got marred two summers ago, and she purchased her dress at a David's Bridal. The dress had to be ordered in her size and it took months and months for it to arrive at the store. Finally the dress came in, after six months or so, and it has HUGE on her. She got measurements taken and the store said that the dress should be done about a week before the wedding. She obviously wanted to have the dress completed sooner, but it took so long for the dress to come in and for them to alter it. They went up the day after the dress was finished, and she came out of the dressing room crying. I guess it looked horrible on her. It wasn't altered right at all. It was a strapless gown and the skin above the bust area spilled over the top of the dress because it was so tight on top. And it was way too baggy about her middle. She started to really worry because its now a week before she gets married, and she doesn't have a dress. Basically David's Bridal say there wasn't much that the could do. There wasn't enough time to get a new dress or to do major alterations. Plus, the top couldn't be made any looser because you can't really add fabric to a dress. There experience with the store was really bad. They tried to talk to the managers and higher ups, but, since the dress was paid for when it was ordered, she had to buy the dress. Eventually, she found a floor sample that fit her perfectly. She looked breathtaking and the dress looked like it was made just for her. She ended up paying more money. She had to purchase the sample and she didn't get a lot of the money back from the original dress, because she had to pay for time and labor that was put into the alterations. Basically, almost everyone at the bridal store did not care what the bride wanted.

When it comes to your wedding dress, its (hopefully) a once in a lifetime purchase. You deserve to get what you pay for and not less. And, as the bride, you should have a say in everything. You should be allowed to voice your opinion on the work and you should be treated well in a bridal salon. After all, you are dropping hundreds to thousand and thousand of dollars in their shop. They shouldn't treat you as a number or a sale they need to make to get a commission.

There are other places to look for cheaper wedding dresses. You could always go vintage. Dig through the racks at local second hand stores, if you don't mind wearing a dress that has already been worn. You can also rent a wedding dress for your big day. Another options is going to a store and finding a dress that you love, and then looking online at different shops and even eBay to see if you can find the dress for less money. Also check around the web. Sites like Etsy.com have dresses that people make by hand. Obviously some are quite expensive, but I think its worth the look because you never know what you can stumble across on that site. If you like new dresses with a vintage or retro flare, or just something a tad more unique, try sights like http://www.unique-vintage.com/wedding-dresses-c-102.html. Sample sales are another good bet. Stores try to sell all of their store samples to make room for the next season's collections. I am not sure where you live, but Filene's Basement in Boston has a huge sample sale a few times a year ( http://www.atlantabridal.com/articles/runningbrides.asp), People come from all over the world to go to it.

Good luck with your shopping. i hope you find exactly what you are looking for at your frugalista price. As long as you research and stick to your price range, I am sure you will find the dress of your dreams!

I hope some of that helped.

where can i find fancy dresses?

Teddi b

ok I have an dance that i would like to dress up for everybody wears very fancy dress im rather small in dress sizes i can wear up to a size 3 and i wanted some place that sold maybe a rhinestoned dress that was short and i will pay up to $150.00 do you know any stores i could look into

Answer
It's hard to tell you since you gave no description of where you're from. Try local boutiques, they should sell small sizes. Any store with a petite section or petite in the name will have your size. I personally ordered my prom dress online. I found it on ebay then used the picture to do an image search in google and find the original seller. Always order custom measurements if this is the path you choose. Try bridal shops and sites, they have great brides maids gowns as well as wedding dresses you can get in colours. As far as rhinestones, you're going to need to up your budget, the more detail, the higher the price. You may be able to find something at a vintage shop or a second hand dress shop, the plus here is they've usually only been worn once, it'll be cheaper, and it's highly unlikely others wil have the same dress. Hope this helps, good luck!

What are the cheapest months to get married in Cleveland,OH?

LaTashaF

Need prices on wedding gowns, bridal dresses, tuxedos, flowergirls, and ringbarers, venus for wedding, and reception, wedding favors, and anything else that goes with weddings like invitations.

Answer
OK well first of all I think that all those extra questions will be done better if you call places around the city to get your quotes. As far as cheapest time I think the Fall and Winter months are the best time everyone wants to get married in the Spring and Summer so you may find more openings in the end of September all the way up to March that would be pretty cheap. I don't think you can rent a flower-girl and a ring-barer unless the family is desperate enough to rent their children out.

Where to buy inexpensive wedding dresses in DC area?

I'm trying to help my friend find places in the Washington DC area where you can buy wedding dresses that don't cost an arm and a leg. She's already gone the David's Bridal route, but she wants more options. The problem is all the specialty boutiques are so expensive! It's going to be a low-key wedding so she'd like to keep the budget below $1,000 including alterations and the veil, so I'm thinking the dress itself shouldn't be over $700. Any ideas where to look?

Answer
tell her to try looking at high end department stores. that is an often forgotten source for great prices on wedding gowns and other wedding party outfits, including bridesmaid dresses. places like macy's, dillards, norstroms, and jcpenny have amazing prices on their wedding dresses. most of them priced under 500 dollars.

if you want a more traditional experience, try the macy's tyson's galleria in mcclean va. they carry demetrios wedding gowns.

How much would a small (around 50 people), Costa Rican influenced wedding cost?

Victoria

It will take place in Kansas, so I also need to know what the best months are to have a half outside, half inside reception. One of my parents is a pastor, so we get his services and the church free, along with the reception area if we choose to have it on church grounds.
I would like to have it at the beginning of August, since I'll still have a semester or two to finish up and don't want to split my focus.
My friend is making my wedding gown,
another friend is making the wedding cake,
another is going to do the catering/food,
and another is going to do my hair and makeup (each of them are very talented).
My fiancé is in the military (army) so he won't be needing a tux.
My fiancé and his family are Costa Rican (while I'm just an American mutt) so I want to adopt and embrace his family's traditions and culture for the wedding, but I don't know much about those traditions/culture other than what I've found on the Internet.
I would like to plan the decorations myself but wouldn't mind professional help.
Our budget isn't determined yet; we want to figure a dollar estimate now so that we know how hard to save for the next year and a half. I honestly don't want it to be more than around $5000, but I guess that depends.
I do know that it'll be buffet style, since that is Latin culture for most weddings, also since it's easier and more convenient because I want everyone to feel free to dance, chat, eat, and browse as they please.

Any advice, perspective, knowledge, and ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I just want it to be as fun as possible, comfortable, memorable, lots of dancing and energy; a complete and perfect fiesta!

Answer
After all those freebies your getting, there isn't much left but flowers, photographer, DJ, party favours, invitations, rings etc. If you're smart and shop around you should be able to get all that for under $5,000.

Here's what I'm paying for those things to give you an idea:
Photographer - $800
Flowers - $500
DJ - $600
Party favours - $50
Rings - $300 for mine, $50 to resize family ring for him
Invites - $300 (That's for 30 couples - So if you're inviting 30 ppl, divided by 2 roughly will be half of what I'm paying)

Oh and don't forget your accessories, veil, hair piece, shoes, jewellery, lingerie, garter etc. That can cost as little or as much as you want. Mine came to $400.

As for ideas for costa rican themes, ask his mom! She'd probably love to get involved!

Maria O

i am in a state of emergency and need to find a MAGGIE SOTTERO MONALISA OR MONALISA ROYAL gown to try on before I buy it for my wedding. I love the way it looks in pics but NO ONE SEEMS to have it to try on...Can anyone think of anywhere that would have it in the Memphis Nashville areas... I have tried Ballew's Jaccqulines, Roxannes, and Unique Boutique

Answer
This is a common predicament for brides today...including me. I had to drive 200 miles to try on my dream dress: Pronovia's Oleage (GORGEOUS)!! I'm sooo glad I did though because I love it and there was no way I'd order it without trying it on. Search Maggie Sottero.com for locations closest to you and make a weekend trip out of it!!

what is a white wedding dress mean vs a colored one?

cieara r

what is a white wedding dress mean vs a colored one i think they said if you wear white your a virgin but colored your not?

isnt it a tradition?

Answer
I believe traditionally it represents purity and a virgin bride. Kind of with the idea that you have been with no one else but the one you're marrying.

People generally used to marry in a colored wedding dress when it was not their first marriage. The idea that they were no longer the virgin bride.

Nowadays I don't think it really matters. I've known of several people getting married in a colored dress for their first marriage.

What about brown and white for wedding colors?

My wedding is in July/summer of 2010. It's a candy themed wedding. (brown chocolate and white chocolate) My current thought for colors would be brown and white. How would my wedding party be dressed? Brown dresses for my bridesmaids as well as brown tuxes for the groomsmen? or black tuxes? The flowers would have to be white, obviously. Any other color suggestions for a candy themed wedding?

Answer
The color of your wedding should be your and your fiances choice. For ideas put brown and white wedding into a search engine for images and it will bring up pictures of others weddings or ideas. You could also search for candy theme wedding. If you are going for candy or chocolate as the theme white chocolate is actually a cream color so if you're having a lot of that around bright white might clash. There are many colors you could add mint green like in a mint chocolate. It's your wedding don't let the "wedding rules" get in your way. You can also do a print dress with brown and white. A lot has changed in weddings black has even became a popular bridesmaid dress. Good luck and happy wedding planning.

Do you think its okay to wear a black wedding dress for your wedding?

ashley

I was thinking about wearing a black wedding dress for my wedding. I want to do a black n white themed wedding and was thinking of having the bridesmaids wear white with a black accent and than i was thinking that i would wear a black wedding dress. I dont want a goth wedding i just want to do something unique for my wedding. Do you think that its bad luck or a bad idea? All responses welcome!! Thank you!!

Answer
I think it's okay. There's nothing wrong with a black wedding dress.

Personally though, I think that it would look good with touches of white. It helps pull away from that "goth" look you're trying to avoid, and it makes the dress pop.
