Answer
Don't get color. It can look childish. I'm guessing its for prom and I think if you get a french tip:

(you can get them shorter)

How do you get your nails done?
I don't want acrylic, I could never get used to it.
But my mom is talking about getting tips, and when I asked her what that was, she described to me the acrylic process.
So either I'm confused or she's explaining this wrong.
How do you get your nails done without acrylic?
And what color would you get, the label says the dress is pine green, but I like to say it's emerald. It's a deep green dress. What color would you get?
Answer
If you are getting your nails done without acrylic, it would be a basic manicure. The manicurist would moisturize your hands and nails and cuticles, sometimes this step also involves a hand and forearm massage. Your cuticles would be trimmed if need be, and your nails would be shaped, filed smooth, and possibly buffed. They would finish off your manicure with a base coat, 2 coats of nail polish of the color of your choice, and a long lasting top coat. If I had a dark green dress, or even brighter emerald, I would choose a contrasting color, like a sheer light pink, which would even look slightly like a french manicure. A sheer light shade will also show chips less and last longer.
