What hairstyles will look good with these dresses for a 10 year high school reunion?

I have shoulder length hair, here are the dresses and i'm going to wear pink that night.

sorry, i can't go on youtube. my parents wont let me but for the first dress, I would just curl your hair, then clip a piece of it to the side with a bobby pin.

for the second dress, I would put your hair into a bun, then leave some hair dangling in the front , like below:

What is the best sort of dress to wear to a wedding in the Caribbean?

My cousin is getting married in this coming spring 2013 in Dominican Republic. I need to buy a dress to wear to the wedding. I am 20 years old and short, 5"3. I found this funky colored dress for 12$ that is short but tasteful, as well as it suits my artsy taste in clothes. Are short dresses good for Caribbean weddings?
Also, do woman wear heels to weddings down south? The wedding is on the resort, not the beach.

I think you'll look great in a summer but elegant summer dress not a cheap one from Target lol.
