has any one ever done this or seen it at a wedding? was it cute or just plain tacky? my bridesmaids are out of town and i want them to go to a bridesmaid shop and show them the color sample and pick a dress. will this work? the wedding is march 29,2008! any comments and suggestions will be helpful

Answer
I absolutely love the idea of letting the bridesmaids choose their own style of dress! Ladies come in all different sizes so a dress style that looks good on one of your maids will not necessarily look good on the rest of them. Plus, letting them choose a style increases the likelihood that they will be able to wear the dress again. So I applaud you for taking your ladies into consideration!!

The best way to pull off the same color/different dress look is to pick a color sample and possibly a fabric. Keep in mind that different fabrics in the same color may not match exactly. For example, periwinkle chiffon looks a little different than periwinkle satin. You may also want to pick a length (tea or full length) to add uniformity or leave it up to the ladies. Good luck!

ok i want my plus size bridesmaids to wear tea length?

YELLOW dresses. not light yellow either. my girls range from size 12-30. cheap would be preferred. any websites? im having a hard time because all the good ones are for skinny girls

i guess if i had to pick a second color it would be lavender? i really want yellow though
im only having 3 girls ... one is a size 12, one is a size 22 and one is a size 30

Answer
Davids bridal i hear has a good selection and during there sales they seem cheap. Also have you considered cutting down the amount of bridesmaids your having? Now you havnt specified how many but if your having trouble finding one style and colour that fits sucha wide variety of girls you could just have a couple. I had 2 in my bridal party and it was perfect. Also another option would be to tell them the colour and let them pick there own style of dress.
