How to change the color of a wig?

Q. I'm going to a convention and I might dress up as a girl with purple hair, but I only have a pink wig.

I don't want to destroy the wig, but I want to know how to change the color of the wig without killing it.

It's synthetic if that helps.

I don't want to waste money on anything if it's not going to work, so please don't give me stupid answers.

Halloween stores are closed.

If it's synthetic then you can't dye it, try spray painting it.

Can you wear two different colours of patent together? Can you wear both a purse and shoes in patent?

I bought a white patent bag to wear with a multi coloured dress and ordered shoes online - they were expensive shoes and they are horrible - so now I need to get some new ones...but I'm wondering if I have to keep them white or if I could wear red patent with the white patent bag...or change it up?!

I wouldn't wear patent shoes if you have a patent bag
And you don't have to stick with white for the shoes
Pick one of the colors in the dress and wear that color in the shoe
