My homecoming is tonight and I'm going for a 1960's look. I will be doing a curly Marilyn Monroe style hair, little black heels and a eggplant colored dress. What nail colors would work with the deep purple of my dress? Also should I wear a pearl necklace or something sparkly?

Hello all! I'm in need of some help. I've been planning my wedding for 2 years and have been through a rainbow of colors and ideas for my girls. Now that the wedding theme is chosen it might be easier to narrow suggestions. I'm having a fall themed country wedding next November outside ceremony, indoor reception. Think serious FALL! Pumpkins and all. The decorations, the cake, everything is fall colored. My groom and his men are wearing blue jeans, a black button up shirt with a black suit jacket. I thought of red for my girls but I'm not sure it will look good with guys. Suggestions Pleaseeeeeee please please.

Think of all the different colors of fall, you need a backdrop color that will hilite these colors, not fight with them. Almost any color will go with black. My daughter had eggplant for MOH's (maid and matron) and a latte, like a light chocolate milk as bm dresses which when you put all the fall colors with, say if you used red or orange the flowers would blend into one big blob. The problem comes in here with the gm all in black which is a good background color, but how to match/blend bm with gmen. So, I suggest a light peach or an olive/apple green dresses with bouts for men confetti or sometimes called tutti frutti roses. A beautiful golden color with rust tips. Also, put bm in rust. I am listing the link that my daughter found and used for her wedding, Oct. 2012. Gorgeous.

For bouquets,my d used one oranger gerber daisy, the confetti roses, golden statice,small rust chrysantheums, purple lisianthus (MOH changed this to eggplant callas) and a couple of lime green spider mums for some pop. Tablecloths cream with a medium sized basket of three different colored chrysantheums, mantle orange, yellow and rust silk leaves decorated with pumpkin and ten commandment gourds (look up) but find the pretty ones. Gorgeous. Lots of curly willow, signs and she loves the long green bells of ireland greenery. Favors were candy apples one at each place setting, no plated mean, just a tall v shaped purple napkin with candy apples, mums, assorted leaves, olive green and burgungy/eggplant candles in different size containters, used wine glasses from Dollar Tree-check it out has lots of fall "stuff" (as in fall carnival or the county fair) from Daffy Apple Co. see online, apples were great.
