Hey Christina, Congratulations,
Recently my sister gets married (1st of feb) and we did something different on her marriage, our theme was to enjoy each moment in heritage and royal style, we enjoyed lot in doing that. me trying to share those things here may be you will like. Hmm what about doing something in different culture or tradition for example -
- plan wedding location on any natural place hmm what about desert location in night with campfire??
- try some different culture wedding outfits instead of normal tradition (long skirts and formal suits or blazer for men), for your men you can try some indian wedding outfit like sherwani or jodhpuri suits see here http://www.rajasthanistore.com/rajasthani-sherwanis/trendy-jodhpuri-suit-style-sherwani.html (sure he will look very handsome in shewani outfits)
- for you, you can try these cute bridal wears http://www.utsavsarees.com/pages/sarees.asp?cid=2&type=Bridal (looks something different :))
- I seen in some countries itâs tradition that bride or groomâs friends or brother sisters wear same dress up and that is amazing idea, you can do that too, means your brothers can also wear sherwani or some type of same dress up ï
- you can also play some love games for couples, decorate home in old style
Main theme is to celebrate each moment in heritage and in different tradition hope it will help you, best of luck for your wedding.

What would be appropriate/trendy to wear to a Dec. wedding?
missy
I am attending the wedding with my bf who is a groomsmen. We are both in our 20ies, as is the bride and groom. The wedding color is a deep green, as far as I know. Any ideas on what I should wear? I want to be warm, but don't want to wear a floor length gown. The wedding will be as formal as a traditional wedding goes-nothing too formal, but nothing too casual either. The ceremony is sometime in the afternoon at a Catholic church with the dinner reception in the early evening at a hotel. I'm thinking of wearing a pant suit...but I still want to look feminine. Specific ideas would be great. PS, as I'm in my early 20ies, I do have a budget. I don't want to spend anymore than around $150.
oooh, love the links, Graciela, thanks! The last dress is especially cute! :)

I would go with a cocktail dress in a warmer fabric in a deep jewel tone color like a sapphire blue or peacock purple or even a deep red or burgundy as long as it isn't super bright. Pair it with a wrap or cardigan and some panty hose to keep your legs warm with a pair of cute heels and you'll be wedding ready. If you really feel like you'd be more comfortable in a pantsuit, try dressing it up a bit with fun jewelry or a brightly colored shell under the jacket to make it seem like more of a special event outfit than a business outfit.
