I am getting married abroad in 5 weeks. Flying Glasgow to Dubai and Dubai to Mauritius both with Emirates. I know we are allowed 30kg of luggage each plus hand luggage. How will i get my wedding dress over there and how will my fiance get his kilt and accessories over there?

If the wedding dress is big, I would talk to those people who professionally pack them in a box that is the size of a suitcase. Then speak with the hotel you will be staying, and have it professionally shipped with insurance. One with tracking, so you can following on your computer, so it doesn't really go off the radar. Do the same thing with the kilt as it will likely have a knife or two. Get there, and have the dress pulled out and cleaned by the best cleaners you can find, do not get cheap--see if you can find a bridal shop that will do this for you so no wrinkles or torn parts. Do your wedding, and then ship them back home much the same way you got it there while you continue on with your honeymoon.
