dress colors for dark skin?

tea

what are some good colors for dark skin? I have also have dark hair. I was thinking that light colors look good like ice blue, lavender, light pink ect.. Would a red look good? I was looking into it..
Thanks for any suggestions! (:

Answer
Those colors would be good, really it depends on how you feel in the dress, because we all have our own shade of colors and certain ones look bettter on different people :). Im also a bit dark and i usually go for purples, magentas. and sometimes maybe blue. Its different you have to try on the colors to see your best match. Red will also look very good! But when choosing red, go for the reds with blue undertones (dark reds) instead of orange/yellow tone reds (bright reds)

Good Luck

My prom is coming up, and i want a dress color that looks nice on my dark skin, help please?

Cream looks great, but you don't want to look like you are off to your wedding!

Turquoise or an aqua color looks great with a tan or on darker skin.

Yellow - perfect for springtime... I think this just looks awesome on darker skinned ladies. It looks terrible on my pale skin so I'm SO happy when I see people flaunt it and look great in it.

Pink shades are awesome as well, depending on how dark you are try some light and dark ones to see what works best:

A chartreuse green can work too. Neon can be kinda tacky but it is making a comeback - if you want to pull it of I'm sure you can - ultra fashionista way.
