I am planning on being Dallas in August and I wanted to take a friend to try on wedding dresses for her upcoming wedding. We are both plus sized girls and would feel more comfortable in a store that either specializes or at least has plus sizes. Names, addresses and phone numbers would be great, and the person to give them to me, gets best answer!

Does anyone know what sizes they carry for the Running of the Brides at Filene's Basement?

Yes, they do, but since they buy sample dresses from bridal shops, most of the dresses will be in the size 8 to 12 size range. Filene's doesn't sell wedding dresses, they buy them from bridal shops for pennies on the dollar and sell them at a big profit.
Seriously, as a bridal retailer, many of the dresses just aren't that much of a bargain. I've seen a lot of these dresses and the retail price ion the tag sn't the true price of the dress. And some of the dresses are passed off as couture by the news media when they are just so so brand dresses. The buyers for the sale only want to buy white dresses, so you aren't going to find champagnes or rich ivory colors.
With the weak economy, you can probably score a deal in a bridal shop and get service and avoid being trampled. But then again, you never know what you might find if you are willing to run and barter.
