Wedding dress suggestions?

.

What kind of dress should I wear? I'm 5'7, 156 lbs with an hourglass figure but I don't want anything that will totally be tight around my tummy, as I inherited a little pooch from my mother lol... what style should I choose?

Answer
Something that I think of as a cardinal rule of wedding dresses, is that there is a time to be sexy and a wedding day is not that time. You want to look beautiful and softened on your wedding day, and for most people, something that's simple, yet still has a bit of extravagance is right, because you don't have to look like you're wearing a white party dress, but, you also don't have to go full on Diana.
I looked around and fell in love with this gown from David's Bridal, not only is it a steal, at just $400, it's insanely beautiful!

Good luck on your wedding day!!

What is the appropriate length for a dress for 7 o'clock in the evening wedding?

I've been invited to a wedding, but I'm not sure what length of dress to get.

Answer
Does the invite specify a dress code? Usually such a late wedding would be quite formal (black-tie) so you would be looking at a full length gown. I would wear something like this...

However - most weddings are semi-formal these days and if you are not sure how formal it is I would be more inclined to wear something like this...

I think that would be safe as it is shorter so it appears more semi-formal, yet the material and style are in a formal fashion so you wouldn't look too out of place in either setting. Even something like this which is long, but not as formal in style would work well if you are unsure...

If it is definitely semi-formal / cocktail (and it may be an idea to ask if the invite doesn't specify) then something like this with a shorter skirt would be ideal...
