Hello!
I have been engaged for two years and it has been a rough two years financially. But my fiance and I are now ready to get married. I have checked at a few bridal shops but everything seems overpriced for what I would be getting.
I was considering a second hand or consignment gown shop. Or maybe a warehouse.
Help?

Answer
The main option that I would recommend:

David's Bridal...I recall that they have "new" dresses that start "around $99"...and a 'rental' would cost you that much and more, as well as anything from a 'thrift shop/Goodwill' place since you would (certainly) want it 'cleaned!' before you wear it...and cleaning/steaming a wedding dress at a drycleaners is VERY expensive...

So, NET cost (Final cost)...I'd suggest a new, bargain priced, NICE dress...from somewhere like, or from David's Bridal.

*I do NOT recommend the Rent-a-Dress and Tux shop on Paradise. I have met the owner and her staff a number of times, regularly go 'past' (by the window) and even stopped in and reviewed their inventory...unless you are 'absolutely desperate'...I'd never do business there. The people are rude, the quality is LOW, they seem to have a 'we're doing you a favor' attitude...and while i would LOVE to have them as a resource, the lack of quality and bad attitudes keep me from EVER recommending them (the lady/owner inherited the biz from her mother a few years ago...she's a ruthless business-minded person whose only concerns/interests are how 'she' feels, so if she doesn't like you...you'll have a bad experience, if she likes you...you'll do fine...you'll just have to deal with the 'lacking' quality of the shop inventory (at least represented in EVERY visit I've had in/around their shop).
Unfortunately, not a good resource.

What to wear and how to plan a vampire themed wedding?

Answer
I would try to search for some ideas for a Halloween themed wedding. It might give you some good ideas.
Also, instead of wearing a white dress you can wear a black velvet gown, like this one:

Or maybe a burgundy wedding gown...

You could try doing a wedding based around a Victorian Era theme. There would be lots of interesting ways to incoporate Vampires into that.
Here are a few other websites that you can try for ideas as well
