wedding gowns for rent image

My fiancee and I are getting married in May and he has given me a $5000 dollar buget to pay for all of our wedding that includes the rental facility which is already in the amount of $1,550.00. The rest of the money should cover the buffet reception, photography, wedding cake, wedding gown, his tuxedo, our wedding shoes, flowers/wedding decorations and servers to help and clean plus taxes and labor. Need an advice coz I don't think this amount is not enough to cover everything he wishes me to do.

First of all, you will be hard pressed to spend only $3,450.00 on food, a photographer, cake, a wedding gown, a tuxedo rental, shoes, flowers, decorations and service, taxes and labor. This is going to take a hell of alot of creativity.
Listen to this: My father passed away and he was cremated. We had just 10 days to plan a Celebration of Life memorial party for about 85 guests at my sister's house. We decided to have a decent cocktail party. We rented glassware, utencils, and plates. We bought paper napkins at the dollar store, hired choice local gourmet shops to prepare trays of appetisers, we made a huge cheese, fruit and cracker tray and bought all the alcohol and mixers and soft drinks. We hired teenage kids to go on dirty glass and plate patrole and another bunch to walk around with food trays. My sister painted her front door, planted a flower garden, and bought new lawn furniture.
We had a lovely cocktail party and everyone mingled inside the house and outside in the yard. In light of the sad ocassion, everyone really had a good time. After all was said and done, we realized that this party was pulled off, without the cost of lawn furniture, for under two thousand dollars. My Niece, who is engaged got the bright idea to have her wedding in my sister's yard and use the ten grand she was going to spend on her wedding to upgrade and buy a more expensive house.
The point of this story is that you can have a lovely reception without waisting the first $1,550 of your budget to use someone's facility for four hours.
Think, is there somewhere you can have a reception at someone's house??? Think about it.
Othewise, just plan a cocktail party at the rental facility. Bring your own bottles of alcohol, potted African Violets are just a couple dollars each, appetisers cost a ton less than a buffet, ask a friend to take pictures, buy a dress on Ebay or rent one, buy comfortable sandals or flip flops, have a small decorative cake made and serve a home made sheet cake from the kitchen, get decorations at a craft store and ask everyone you know for their help in pulling it all off.
Good luck to you. Remember, the wedding day is just a few hours and marriage is for years and years and years.....

Can someone provide me with a website for bridal shops in Morocco?
Butterfly
I want to buy a traditional "american" wedding gown and don't want to use the services of a neggafa(not sure of spelling). I'm worried that if I purchase the gown I want in the US it will be too big to pack as I'm getting married in Morocco. Also can anyone tell me if wedding gowns are more expensive in Morocco than in the US and if there are any bridal shops that would rent just the one gown, again I don't want to use the services of a neggafa.
Answer
you can rent a traditionnal western white dress from a neggafa without using her services...I do have friends who did that... you will easilly find neggafas in Rabat / Casa who have dresses for rent...I know the "R'batia" and the "Drissia" (famous neggafats) can provide you that service. However I know that you won't have a big choice. My advice for you is to go to Ceuta or Mellilla (the spanish cities that are on the Moroccan territory in the north), it is very close, and you'll find bridal shops with interesting prices and a big choice...I think there is even a "pronuptia" shop in Ceuta, which is a famous european brand for bridal dresses. You can also choose to cross Gibraltar's detroit and go either to Gibraltar or southern spain and have much more choice, but I'm sure you'll find what you need in Ceuta or Mellilla.
Good luck, and congratulations!
