A nice dress (for a wedding) colour for pale skin?

my friend is going to a wedding and she wants to buy a dress that compliments her skin colour which is pale.. i have no idea

I'm extremely pale and pastels look terrible on me because they're too close to my skin tone. If you're pale then light colors will make you look blah and washed out. I think bolder colors like peacock blue or kelly green look great on people with a fair complexion because they contrast the skin tone.

I personally like the bold blues and greens, but even a deep bold purple or cranberry would probably look nice too.

Okay, so I am trying to get a dress for speacial occasions ( Jack & Jills, Wedding whatever ) and I am having a hard time, i want something that would look sleek, sassy and more grown up ( 21 years old, recently - ish had a baby ) im larger ( obv. just had a baby ) and i have fair-er skin? ( not medium, but not fair, kinda in between? ) anyway i've narrowed my colour choices to black ( classic ) , red, and a dark jade - ish colour? but having a hrd time deciding, opinions? thanks !
